Hello all...I have LOTS of inquiries (10 per CR)...however, I plan to app for the BCE and CSP in January, 2014. At that time, even though I will still have the same # of inquiries, they will all be over 12 months old. Will AMEX/Chase still care, or is a year old enough for inquiries not to matter? Thank you.

there's not really a need to make a separate thread, but anyways..........
despite being over 12 months, they will still care since it's still on your CR, but they wont weigh it as heavily as it would for inquiries within 12 hours.
It will really depend on your overall financial outlook. Were those 10 inquiries due to auto loan / mortage loans or were they all due to credit apps?
Thanks for the input. Yes they were all cc apps from starting to rebuild. 4 are from 2011, which will fall off soon. So about 6 will be older than a year by the time I app. Should I wait longer, like 18 months? I don't think I can make the 24-month Gardening Diamond...LOL!

just curious, which chase card are you interested in? for the freedom i think you should be fine.
the fact that they're all credit apps makes it a little worse because they're not grouped together and classified as 1 inquiry.
as for amex, since you already have an account with them, you can keep trying your luck end of this year onwards. it's just a SP if you're declined so there's really nothing to lose.

I'm interested in the CSP, so what I plan to do is app for the amex bce first and see if I can reach $5k with the 3x cli. Either that or see if Discover cli's me to 5k by next year. I'll probably try for the BCE in December, then try for CSP in January/February. Thanks.
sounds like a good plan. best of luck!
