I think Lowes (GEMB) primarily pulls TU.  I got several GEMB cards last week with TU of 614, 03 bankruptcy a couple of baddies and upaid collections.

GEMB has pulled nothing but EQ for me on my 2 cards and one CLI.  I think this is the experience of the majority of GEMB card holders.  Probably varies by state.  If only whogavemecredit had that info....

Oh, and the denial for their Net Rewards Visa last year was alow EQ.

Here in Georgia Lowes pulls EQ About 90% time.P.S. Shows card issuer to Brooks Brothers WTH is, that.

My CR are confusing. seems like not everything matches up but everything should be off by 10/2008 so I don't think I should try to dispute anything and have them change the fall off date. All I know is if I don't want to push mow 4 acres Lowes is going to have to cut me some slack. The lil woman has had a  Lowes card for several years with 1200 cl with 0 balance but she said if I was going to pay $3000 for a mower that I had to get my own Lowes card because she wasn't going to request a cli and have a hard pull on her CR  or raise her uti. I currently don't have any CC's and have 3 TL one paid off and 2 auto's. We own our house & land but it's in her name because we are not married. When we met I had no kind of credit because I paid cash for everything and had a nonexistent score and now am up to 642. She has taught me a lot about credit management even though she handles all the finances.

Ok just got back from Lowes. They approved me for 1K credit line not enough to get the mower but I still got my mower, the lil woman met me there and put it on her account. She was proud of me for getting my first CC and rewarded me LOL with the understanding that I pay it off in 6 weeks so she don't get hit with finance charges. Lowe's has changed the 0% interest for 12 months with $299 purchases. It's now only 0% on select items over $299 but I'm happy any ways.

Evening Hauling, question for you on my CR it shows the credit issuer  of my Lowes Card to be Brooks Brothers Platinum card. To the best of my knowledge a regular Lowes card is just that a store card could it be considered anything else. Pass along anything you may know I"ve never heard this  before. Thanks

I don't know what the heck that's all about! I've heard of some pretty strange pairings before, but never that one.

I'd call up GEMB/Lowe's and ask them WTH. And I'd keep a pretty wary eye on my reports for the next 6 months or so, to make sure that you're not getting Oxford grey pinstripe 3-piece suits on your Lowe's card. I don't know that Jimmie Johnson shops at Brooks Brothers.

Got Ya I just pulled EQ everything is all good Call me stupid WTH is Brooks Brothers a high end retail store or what. Here in GA I don"t think there are any . GEMB operates a little different than other lenders it seems. By the way thanks as always for the information

GEMB has umpty-zillion store cards. So I wouldn't be surprised if they have Brooks Brothers right up there next to Lowe's. Remember that banquet in Noo Yawk City? They all have to dress up sometime.
