Can you do the 84 month financing on a gift card? I know there is a $3500 minimum but not sure if that would qualify on gift card purchases. Thanks!!
I don't think WHY is anyone's business I just want to know if it is possible. Thanks for the reply though ![]()
I did, they didn't seem to understand what I meant. Was hoping for first hand experience.
I work at Lowes, what your asking would certainly be cause for concern. Firstly, im pretty sure you can only initally load $500 on any single gift card. So you would probably have to buy (7) $500 dollar gift cards at once( god forbid if you lose one).
The offers states:
"Offer is not automatic and must be requested at time of purchase or order. Applies to any Lowe's® Consumer Credit Card in-store purchase or order of $3,500 or more."
You technically shouldnt have a problem but I can guarantee that an assistant manager will have to get invloved. This amount in gift cards might require store manager approval cause we have a lot of gift card fraud going on.
Technically you should be able to do this but ultimatly its up to the managers. If one store says no then just go to the next.
The decision to either choose the financing option or 5% off is done at the register. Go try to do it and report back. Doubtful it is part of the T/C.
Definitely not trying to commit any sort of fraud, crazy that people would even try! Doing renovations and I get tired of going back and forth to Lowes and then worrying about room since I drive a car and not a truck. Would be so much easier to send my brother (who's a contractor) with the gift card instead of my credit card.
I did find this: Standard and customized Lowe's Gift Cards are available in any amount between $5 and $500. E-Gift cards can be sent in amounts up to $100. Although a Lowe's Gift Card can be reloaded, no more than $2,000 can be redeemed from a single card in one day.
I will have to call the manager and see what can be done. Thank you again for the replies.
If you do call the store, ask for an M.O.D. (Manager On Duty) They will just assume you work there and the operator will transfer you no questions asked.
Thanks for the hint!! LOL
