With the only negative mark on my CR being a single 30-day late from Macy's 2 years ago, it became my mission to get the blemish removed. After two failed attempts calling Macy's credit specialist line (800-477-2167) I turned to the forums. I found a post from several years ago with a list of virtually every backdoor number (http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Card-Applications/Backdoor-Numbers/td-p/408066) and came across a credit department number (800-627-2909). I gave it a shot and after a grueling 30 minutes on the phone with the very kind CSR I asked to speak to a supervisor for my last hope. 10 minutes later, I got word that they are removing the delinquency from my credit report (Applause from the Audience). So after 3 calls, I had success the first time I used the 800-627-2909 number.
