Macy's American Express Process... Update

So I had Macy's American Express card and closed it about 6 months ago to get a reduced interest rate.  I ended up paying the card off about 3 months later instead of doing the program.  So for over a month now I have been trying to get the Amex re-opened.  I just called for the 3rd time and was told they would have a decision in 48 hours.  Has anyone else gone through this process and had a more speedy process and what was your outcome?

Log in today and see Macy's American Express open with $500 CL... That is a far cry from the 11,300 that I had when I entered the program but I'm okay with that, they have always been great with me with CLI and I understand they want to see me manage it better this time around.

hey ive had a macys american express for about 9 months now. Did you ever get an increase and if so how often can you ask for one? or was it always at that limit since you got it? im currently at 6,000 and wanted to get an increase. Thanks

We got the card back in 2008 and CLI on visa side of card are every 6 months.  We started at 2k up to 5k, then 10k (requested) then up to 12k auto.  Later CLD to 11300, the balance at the time... then card closed late last year and then paid off and now back open with the 500.

The store card was never effected and it has a $10,700 limit and I have $3700 left on my $6800 furniture line (limit also not reported)

I got all of these with no credit pulls but lots of talk since credit act shows some hard pulls... guess I will find out in 6 months
