They have become the worst credit card in history to deal with... It takes 5 minutes to get past automated system if you do nothing but wait... you get overseas first and then they transfer you to a specialist who is in US. They want to ask public record questions before they do anything (above and beyond regular credit card account verification).
If I didn't have $49k between store and Amex Card I would CLOSE IT!

Genuinely curious here. Didn't you make a post once that updated all the cards you currently have? If so please link, I would love to see the updated list.

I have not updated it in a while...
So your experience was a "DISASTER" because you had to answer a few security questions?
You must have very unrealistic expectations.

ugh, really!
No, online system doesn't allow you to add AU.
They are closed after 9pm
phone system doesn't allow you to just ask or hit a button to go to a rep
they didn't ask me regular guestions like DOB, address, etc. they pulled up public records (which didn't make sense)
then rep said she could call (but the phone systems were messed up for outbound calls!
just my experience today, if you have not had a bad experience with macys credit, that's great for you... share your great experience or move on, im simply sharing my bad experience.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I think it's good to hear both the good and the bad about companies in order to make more informed decisions about doing business with them
So you are trying to add an AU to a $49k limit card? For myself, if someone were to try to add an AU to any of my cards, I'd think it's a good idea for the issuer to go through a little more verification, to ensure the true cardholder is requesting the extra card.
Macy's CC support is by far the WORST CC out there.
I have to note, that its run by Citibank and I thoroughly believe they HATE Macy's card holders.
From not reporting monthly to credit bureaus for a long time, having horrible customer service, reporting incorrect information on your CR, and by far the WORST website to manage your online account!
I do feel your pain, and if it want's because of Macy's itself, I would had cancelled it long time ago!

almost all my credit cards I can add AU right online... Barclay even asks public record questions online to verify you when adding AU... Macy's it took me 3 phone calls and at least 45 minutes.
