I have very clean credit reports and good payment. But I am only 20 so my credit history is very short. Also I have been paying Macy's in full.  Thanks

Hi, excellent increase!! when was the last time you asked for a increase before you asked for that increase? Because i just asked for a increase last month and got denied. I was asking every three month and i was getting the increase until this last time. Always paid on time, use card every mth. Nothing had changed on my credit report. I will have this card for a year in august. Credit limit was 800 when i got it now its 1800. I never have more on it then 200 dollars so it wasnt no big deal that they didnt approve me for a credit increase when they do it just helps with my credit score. i have been reading they have increase the guideline increase to every 6mths instead of every three mths so maybe thats why they didnt give me a guideline increase.  .

I have been getting GLI every 3 months. When I called for the last GLI they said from now on it will be six months. Also I think it helps to always pay in full for every statement.

HI, before i saw your statement i called macys to see how much i have spent this year. THey will be sending me the elite card out. But i asked the csr while i was on the phone about why i was denied for the guideline increase last month and she told me that therye guideline increases are every 6 months now.

I got my card in December of 2007 and the limit was $600; within 3 months they auto CLI'd to $2500 and I haven't had a CLI since.
