Marriott One lane rule - suggestions for new apps?

Long time no see my friends - I've been quietly in the garden for about a year now and am just about financially ready to keep expanding the profile. Hope you all have been doing well both in this credit adventure and life as a whole Smiley Happy

Now... I had to ignore the credit card world for a bit to stay in the garden and am still playing catch-up on the changes with this Marriott SPG 'merger' so please correct me if I'm mistaken here:

Basically, you can have/get bonuses for Chase cards or Amex cards but not both?

This is something of a sticking point as I still have the Ritz card (they can pry it from my cold dead hands), as well as the Amex SPG Business card. I never had any Chase Marriott cards, nor the Amex SPG Luxury card, though I did have the personal SPG Amex which was closed about a year ago to make an Amex slot for the Delta gold SUB.

That all being said, the exclusion terms on the Chase Bonvoy $95 card seem to pretty clearly state that if you have or had any Amex SPG card within the last 90 days you can't get any Chase card. Likewise, if I am understanding correctly my having the Ritz card means I can't get the Amex $450 card either for the same duration post-close?

Given that I have not ever had any Chase Marriott card, or the Amex SPG Luxury... what would you guys recommend as far as wanting to get more Bonvoy points?

Amex MR points transfer to Marriott. Other than that there is staying at Marriotts.

Well, since you have the Ritz, you won't get any bonus on the AMEX Bonvoy Brilliant card.

The Chase basic $95 fee Marriott card seems like it should have an eligible bonus.

That's what I thought too but the terms page says that you aren't eligible if you have or had either of the personal or business SPG Amex cards within the last 90 days.

If that is true its a little odd they are restricting people across business and personal products...
