Minimum activity needed to keep a CC active

I have a 10yr old MasterCard I got at my local credit union that I want to keep active. What is the minimum amount or frequency of use needed to make sure they don't close it?

Thanks!

Re: Minimum activity needed to keep a CC active

Welcome to the forum

All lenders are different and sometimes this info can be found in the T/C

General time period tho every 3 months would be good

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Auto paying a small, recurring charge is a great way to ensure that the card doesn't get closed.

One purchase every three or four months, or a recurring payment and you're set!
