Mom has 32 Open Accounts??!?!

In reviewing my mom's CR I had pulled for her, I show 40 CC accounts, only 8 of which states "Closed" in the comments. 

Is there any surefire way to tell if the account is open/closed? She thought many that do not have comments were closed, but without the comments, how would we know? We pulled the CR here, from her free trial of SW.

Go to annualcreditreport.com and get the free reports from each of the CRAs. Those reports will have data for the Date Closed field if the account is closed.

If it is reported "Open" and has been updated in the last few months- it is likely open.
