Most elite normal person card??

Just out of curiosity.  What is the most elite "normal person" card out there?  I know it will vary on what one considers "elite" or "normal person."  Trust me, if you have a super awesome card, not-normal is a good thing, so it is not meant disrespectfully.  But I would like to hear people's opinions.  I know the Centurion requires invitation, and the Palladium requires things that I know most don't have.  Any thoughts on what could be considered the most prestigious card a normal Joe can have?  Thanks for opinions.

True.  I think the Ritz is a good-looking card, too.  Just asking opinions.  Thanks for yours!

I would say Chase sapphire preferred. its a visa signature. it has metal and you do get compliments often about the weight and how awesome it feels!

That was one of my first choices, too.  I know we talk about CCs so often here. Certain ones are certainly beloved for good reasons.  I was thinking of having DH's next card (next year - he had 2 HP this year and I want him to be the one with very few HPs) be the CSP.  But I was wondering others' thoughts.  I KNOW I should go for best rewards, but sometimes, you just want something beautiful or luxurious.

Re: Most elite normal person card??

Has to be the Amex Platinum no question about it... The CSP looks cool for sure, but it's not even close to the Amex platinum ... Chase is not Amex ... There's always the scottrade bank debit MasterCard ! Haha

Re: Most elite normal person card??

Blast it!!!  It seems the consensus so far is the Amex Platinum.  No way I can justify that fee!  I agree, though, prestigious-looking and pretty card, but not the hardest to get.  Man, it is rough to hear what you don't want to hear.  Smiley Very Happy  I am just so surprised that there were no cards that came up that I was not familiar with.  I guess we are just an informed bunch. Smiley Happy  If anyone else comes along with any ideas, I am here to hear.

Re: Most elite normal person card??

Yeah, also Citi Prestige. lol

But overall I'd vote for Amex (Platinum in this case) for their reputable service. I mean at such a high AF cash back or points do not mean too much; you pay for decent and reliable service. That's Amex has always been renowned for.
