members data points on this Chase green check scenario you have....(Nail bitter) for sure
Yeah, I agree. I basically have everything set. About 85% of my CC debt is 0% for the next 12-15 months, and I've paid off 25% of it since 1/1 of this year. So I'm really not sweating a thing. But if they saw fit to give me another $4k to use for a BT that would basically put me at 99% of my CC debt at 0%.
I think at the very least I'll sleep on it another ten days until I'm out of 2/30 territory.
So... I waited 30 days, applied for another CFU that had a green check mark - 30 day message. I've read that usually means an approval, but for whatever reason I anticipate it will be a denial. I don't really care, I don't need the card (I was just going to use the BT for 0%). Meh. So that's that.

Do you mean app status or recon? I was thinking of doing one or the other.
I believe app status will forward you to a human if they need more information from you.
**bleep** that's awesome..
I saw those offers (Slate, CFU, CSP) about 3 months after I got my Chase Freedom. I am not very tempted to apply because I just received the Citi TY Premier (on par with CSP) and I've had the C1 Quicksilver for a while (on par with CFU). The reason I took the TY Premier is because of the promotional sign up bonus as well as because I plan to PC to Citi DC after a year. Also the downgrade path for CSP doesn't make much sense to me considering the cards I have mentioned above.
So get this - I got turned down, the reason being "you already have this type of credit card account with us".
You mean to tell me I took a HP and a declined for credit because you offered me something that I wasn't eligible for? Wow.

Chase only allows you to have one of each product, with the caveat that you can usually PC other cards into a product you already have as long as it has been opened for at least a year. Was this a card you cold apped for, or was it specifically a firm prequalification with the green check mark, a single APR listed and just asked for your income and mortgage/rent payment to accept the card? If they are making targeted prequalifications of a card to someone ineligible for that card, that is certainly an unfortunate bug.

It is precisely this:
"specifically a firm prequalification with the green check mark, a single APR listed and just asked for your income and mortgage/rent payment to accept the card"
Exactly like the other two I got.
