Re: My Creditor is Helping Me Thread. #TeamMyFICO

Not creditor, but hefty bills, Cox is not charging for overages or shutting off service.

Also got this from Geico just now:

To better assist those impacted by the crisis, we are pausing cancellation of coverage due to non-payment and policy expiration, effective immediately. This pause will remain in effect through April 30, 2020. The ongoing situation impacts everyone, and we want our policyholders to have some peace of mind knowing we'll be there when they need us most. We're also prepared to offer maximum flexibility, including special payment plans to those who need it once normal billing operations are scheduled to resume.

This thread is an amazing example of collaborative effort and exactly what I have come to expect and Heart about the MYFICO fam.
We often see the best of people in the worst of times, many thanks to @Firemedic1, @Namaste7 and everyone posting in the #TeamMyFico thread.
The sense of community is comforting during what can feel like very isolating times in an increasingly precarious credit landscape.
Stay safe.

Email from Summit Credit Union:

Need money and flexibility now? We’ve got your back.

We’re offering a Get-Me-Through Line of Credit so you can borrow the money you need when you need it. If you have a Summit checking account, you can access up to $5,000. If you don’t, you can access a maximum of $2,500.

Both options include:
• Minimum credit limit of $1,000
• 5% APR* interest rate no matter your credit score – even if you don’t have one!
• 6 months to draw against your line of credit
• No payments due for 90 days**
• Payment calculated at 2.5% of the balance or $15 minimum (whichever is greater)
To open your Get-Me-Through Line of Credit, call us at 800-236-5560.

Worried about your upcoming credit card payments?
We’re making it easier.

Whether you have a Personal or Business credit card with Summit, you won’t need to make a payment in May. You’ll still receive a May statement showing zero balance due. If you have automatic payments set up but would like to skip your May payment, simply change your payment amount to zero in online banking or on the Summit mobile app.

Note: I asked for the "Get-Me-Through" line of credit. They do treat it as an emergency application, listing Covid-19 as the reason for the request. But they do take an ordinary hard pull on TU.

We are committed to doing everything we can to meet your financial needs. We’re here for you with the solutions, support, and advice you need to manage your accounts. Our emergency assistance program can help you manage through the financial challenges you may face.

Chartway’s Emergency Financial Assistance Program:

  • Request to skip your loan or credit card payment(s)*
  • Request that we increase your line of credit
  • In addition, we are supporting our members by waiving Chartway ATM service fees.

*If your skip payment is approved, and you have an automatic transfer set up from another financial institution to make your loan payment, you will need to contact your financial institution and cancel the transaction for your payment. Interest will continue to accrue and payment(s) will be added to the end of the loan term, which may cause a reduction to GAP or Warranty Coverage. Other restrictions may apply. Speak to a Member Specialist for more information.

I checked with Chartway about increasing the credit limit and it's false advertising; it's no "emergency financial assistance"... it's just a garden variety application for credit limit increase, with the hard pull, the underwriting, etc.
