Re: My Creditor is Helping Me Thread. #TeamMyFICO

@Namaste7  @FireMedic1 YMMV, but PPMC is waiving interest fees for 1 month and lowering the min payment due.

Discover offers 0% APR for 12 months, which is interesting bc I tried a few months ago and they said that they can't bc my acct's less than 1-yr-old and that's their policy. Guess they're being lenient.

The Discover rep said that the 0% APR for 12 months is just a promo on my acct and they're not lowering APR bc of coronavirus; they're only allowing ppl to skip payments.

Re: My Creditor is Helping Me Thread. #TeamMyFICO

In response to the Spectrum: I contacted them via chat and was told the account has to be in default to be considered for any type of relief or discount.  Was told that there is a 45 day grace period for payment in general.  Thought I would share.

EDIT: Link provided says new customers only for two month promotion.

Okay, I'll start

US Bank is offering a personal loan with 2.99% apr for amounts $4999.00 or lower, up to 48 months. The only drawback, it must be finalized in the branch.

Smiley LOL how funny. i guess they figure if they're willing to risk death or hospitalization, they must really need the help, so let's give it to em

As someone who risks getting infected every day, as someone who's been in contact with at least five infected patients, as someone who risks bring this home to my children every day, and as someone who would care for you should you get sick before me, I totally and utterly fail to see what you're finding so funny.

Right when I thought I've seen it all ...

I think you should lighten up on this one @Remedios

@cr101was just pointing out the stupidity of requiring someone to come into the branch personally to get the loan when social distancing is what is appropriate

I dont need anyone ficosplaining to me what someone else  typed., which emoji they used, and what they meant.

If you read what I said, you'll notice that social distancing is not an option for me, not for about 12 hours, 5 days a week.

A branch is by far safer for me than work.

We really going to stoop down to "oh you so desperate" talk, when people stand to lose everything they have, even lives for some?

This is now going off topic, be it lenders helping, or some mocking lenders for helping, or mocking those who took help.

Please bring it back to it's intended purpose, and if anyone wishes to start a thread with more negative tones and under tones, they are free to do so.

+1 WITH @Remedios . I didnt start this thread for comments other than people who need help who lost their job for now, or are going to be laid off, get behind on their credit bills, whatever hardship may come their way. It is to see which creditor is going to step up to the plate and help their customers. I'm no Community Leader, Mod or whatever. Lets keep it on topic. Post what could be of help to another member. Some will keep it to themselves and not admit it in the open to us they're on the cliff. Could be a lurker who will never join here. We just dont know. We are a team here to help one another. Letskeep it that way please. Thanks, Greg

Re: My Creditor is Helping Me Thread. #TeamMyFICO

That's not bad at all, considering they aren't huge multi billion dollar corporations like AmEx or Chase
