My Discover secured card graduated

My Discover IT secured at 1K unsecured itself with no Auto CLI after the 9th statement. It probably would have graduated at the 7th statement, but for the last two statements I had very high util and paying that off to zero balance seems to have triggered it.

My scores when I started were in the 590s across the board, my scores now are:

EQ: 653

TU: 658

EX: 676

I tried for a CLI and was denied, so I'll probably try again next month.

way too go yeah its usually the 7th cut statement unless they see something they dont like

I just got an email a couple days ago saying that my $200 deposit would be refunded and a check was in the mail. They also said my CL was now $2K. I was shocked and so happy! Does anyone know if Discover does CLIs often or is it after some type of regular account review?

11 months...had an “internal” banking issue when I first received the card. Opened up a Discover Checking and transfered finds that never made it on time. Although, I wasn’t “technically” late by reporting(60days) I was internally late, according to Discover Card CSR.🙄 So, that slowed the process some. I’m not thrilled having to wait but, it’ll happen soon enough. I’m in no hurry for anything anytime soon(well, that’s a good thing I guess) I’m taking it slow and steady to win the race. Just to add: I call them monthly LOL and ask if I’m yet eligible for graduation...same answer every month. 😝
