My chances with USAA?

I know that USAA pulls Equifax and I have 4 inquiries on my Equifax file and recent lender pull of my Equifax Fico is 739.  What are my chances with USAA with 4 inquiries and 2 of the inquiries from last year and 2 from this month?  Am I good or should I wait a few months to let the recent inquiries age?  I would like to get an USAA card cause I here good things about them and they always seem to give good starting CLI's.

Starting Score: EQ 686, TU 722, EX 702
Current Score: EQ 838 (01/08/14 MyFico), TU 836 (01/14/14 Wally), EX 832 (01/14/14 FNBO)

Re: My chances with USAA?

Based on your scores I say go for it.  Are you a limited or full member? I am a full member and I got a World Mastercard with a 4000 limit 3 weeks ago, and yesterday checked "my offers" on the website and I was pre-approved for the USAA Amex.  I got a 1000.00 limit and you can see my scores are no where near yours.

Current: EQ Fico (700), EX Fico AMX (681) TU Fico Walmart (711) MyFico TU (708) Vantage: TU 803, EX 777, EQ 789
Goal: 700+ across the board.

Re: My chances with USAA?

I am a limited member.  Will that negatively affect my chances in any way?

Re: My chances with USAA?

Not with your scores...they supposedly have "easier" requirements for full memebers (hence my scores).  I think your ok.

Let us know how it goes.

Re: My chances with USAA?

Approved for a world mastercard for a CL of 11kSmiley Happy  I really don't know how these companies come up with their starting CL's.  They are all different from each other.  Approved for many cards these last 4 months with starting CL's of 800, 1000, 1000, 1200, 3000, 6000, 7000, and now 11000.  Is there any ryhme or reason to how they set your starting CL's?  Pulled my Equifax after apping with USAA and it went up from the last time I pulled it, even with the USAA inquiry showing up on it.  It's now at 754Smiley Very Happy  Used the Fico score simulator and it says the best action I can do is to pay down  90%-100% of my credit card balances over the next 24 months and my score would range from 797-817.  I'm using 14% of my available crdit and I'm actually planning to pay it down to about 1-2% utilazation in the next 2 months and then I'll wait a month to pull my fico score again and see if I can be in the 800 club.  That'll be great if I can get there.

Re: My chances with USAA?

Well last year on my tax returns my income was 186k but that was due to bonuses so I just put a modest amount of 75k on app so that way if they do decide to FR me they can see that I make more than what I stated.  My actuall income before bonuses is 102k
