Re: My credit card mix opinions are appreciated

I would advise:

1. Combine Chamu cards (2 Wamu and 1 Chase) if possible.

2. Get National CU (Penfed, Patelco, Alliant, Justice, NASA, Navy if eligible and etc.)

3. Store card like Macy's/Kohl's/Saks

IN VINO VERITAS.

It is not just you. My Equifax score is always my lowest as well.  Way lower then my others.  I checked all my reports and they are pretty much all the same except for my Equifax score.

It is not possible to combine the Chase and Wamu cards,  They are still running as two separate entitites.

It is possible that once Wamu becomes Chase the OP will be able to do that, but not right now.

Goals for 2009: 0 Credit Card Debt & 0% Util (achieved 2/6/09), Mortgage! (achieved 11/2/09), getting closer to 800 scores (I crossed this earlier this year, but I'm sure I'm not there anymore!)

Re: My credit card mix opinions are appreciated

For me EQ has always been the highest, then TU and then EX. My EX scores is about 40 points lower than the other two and all the information on the reports is exactly the same as my EQ report. I have one AU accoutn which is a gap card and TU doesn't report it. Otherwise all 3 are the same. I'll never be able to figure these credit bureaus out.

Re: My credit card mix opinions are appreciated

I would ditch Crap 1, and I'd get a gas card - Shell, Exxon, etc. I'd combine my 2 WAMU cards. I'd see if I could get an cli on my Chase Freedom.

IMO you shouldn't let ut. get any higher. 7% is right there. Try to get to 3%.

EQ seems to be most generous in rewarding lower ut.
