My Discover, BoA BankAmericard and Citi Diamond arrived today! I've spent the evening getting the cards activated and setting up online banking. So much fun!
Except, BoA wouldn't allow me to set up online banking. The website kept coming back saying that they couldn't locate my account information! I called up CS, and spoke with 4 different CSRs -- before getting disconnected! -- then called yet again. At first I got connected to checking/savings, which couldn't find my account (I don't have checking/savings with them). After she finally figured out that I wasn't a checking/savings customer (Me: I have a Visa Signature with you. Her: Is that a credit card?), I was connected to card services. They found me, and were supposed to transfer me to online banking, but connected me back to checking/savings! Bottom line after several transfers -- they recommended I wait for my card activation to finish posting overnight and try again tomorrow. We'll see how this works out.
Other than that, I'm so happy to have my new cards! I had to rearrange my wallet, but it feels wonderful to have a line up of cards that I want to keep with me long term, instead of a wallet full of rebuilders. So happy!!!
Congratulations! Nothing compares to the feel of freshly made plastic warming in your back pocket
Exciting, isn't it? New plastic is so addicting...
Its like Christmas in August!!
Congratulations! Glad you are enjoying your new cards!
Tinu, great additions. May I ask your CL's?
Congrats on the new cards! That's quite an app spree. It seems like rebuilding takes a lot of patience, but then it does finally pay off in a big way.
I so know the frustration of dealing w/CSRs (even in the US!). Hope you get your BofA acct set up!
That is so cool Tinu - you deserve this with all of your hard work getting things in order...
The future looks super bright!

Absolutely; happy to share!

It was kind of strange... the above shows the order in which I apped, and every approval came back with a higher CL than the previous. I'm sure it was coincidental, since the individual banks couldn't see what the others were doing with their approvals and the limits they were setting. Still, it felt like I had some sort of momentum going with my app spree; that was fun.
I'm still working on getting online banking set up for my BoA card. I spoke with another CSR today and he told me that it in some cases it can take a couple of days for card services to get the info set up so that online banking can access it. So, I'm going to keep trying and hope that within a couple of days I'm able to get it set up. I did make a small purchase with the card and it went through, so I know that it's been activated and is working properly.
