Hello all!
I have the best score with transunion so far at a 639, EX AND EQ are terrible in the low-mid 500's.. (still working on these) Soooo.. is there any credit cards that i would get approved for with transunion only pull that would accept 4 collections older than 3 years and 4 chargeoffs older than 2 years.. i paid 2 of the chargeoffs .. but they are being slow in reporting. I tried for barclays when i had a 527 transunion score in February BUT im still wondering about those newer chargeoffs from 2009 that are still showing unpaid. help please )
BTW.. i have currently reporting a macys card that i am a AU on from 1999 $900 CL and a NFCU $500 CL card that is just reporting as of 3/2013. I was told that it is best to have 3 revolving cards reporting good for 12 months for when i want to apply for my mortgage.
You could try Barclay.
Edit - I just saw you have a new card. If you try Barclay (I've had them pull twice, both TU), you may be declined but you can probably recon it with them.
hmm would i get approved with the chargeoffs still showing Unpaid? i contacted them and they are saying that cant tell me fore sure about those chargeoffs.
When I was accepted to Old Navy & JC Penneys on my TU report I had 2 collections, one new and one very old, and a IRS tax lien. They only pulled TU. At the time I was probably in the low 600's.
That's probably a YMMV situation. If you were denied and reconned, you can probably explain that to them and ask them for a low limit. They were good to me with auto CLIs anyway. I'm not sure of all their requirements for the different cards but I'd try to find the easiest looking one to snag.
Bah, another edit - Isn't Walmart a TU puller as well?
YMMV but walmart pulls TU
I think probably Barclays or the GE-backed cards (Walmart, PayPal, Amazon, JCP, American Eagle, etc.) would be your best options.
out of 4 chargeoffs 2 chargeoffs are from 2006/2007 Unpaid a school and a old cc that is due to fall off next year.. and the 2 most recent credit cards for same company have been paid.. but they are extremely slow to update balance to 0.
