NFCU AMEX offer emails and snail mail

I searched but I don't know if this is too new or just not a popular card but I am getting inundated with emails and mailed offers for the new NFCU Amex. Not really wanting to app but the 0% for 12 months is enticing. It says preselected, not preapproved.

"Get the all-new Navy Federal More Rewards American Express® Card and enjoy a 0% intro APR on balance transfers for 12 months. After that, a variable APR between 10.65% and 18% applies." And it has a promo code associated with it. Is this just junk mail?

I can't really say for sure if it's a junk mail or not. But from what your I don't think it is because of the promo code and I will guess it have an expiration date. I would give them a call to make sure, well that if you want the card.

Not so sure if that’s true. If it was a true preapproval it wouldn’t say a rate of 10-18% after intro 0%.

Irish80- if it has a code it seems to be a preapproval, regardless of the fact that it has a apr spread listed. 6/2016 I was declined for a cash rewards. I got (probably the same, only for that card and not for an Amex) the mailer A WEEK AFTER THE DENIAL.It had an acceptance code on it. Used the code. Same info. Same score. Approved@$5k .
A few other people have posted about the mailer, and I have’t seen a denial off of the acceptance code

Most say it's an invitation to apply, but people are getting denied. Look at the Navy thread under Credit Apps at the end of the thread.

I got an email offer for the More Rewards Amex with 30K bonus points (spend 3k/90 days) yesterday. Says I'm "pre-selected" and came with a promo code. Fine print shows APR is 10.65-18%.
