Has anyone noticed that if you make a big payment on your accounts that the following month it will say 00.00 is due? It's odd to me that they do this. None of my other lenders do this though. I spoke to a CSR and they stated that's their policy on larger payments. Now if you skip a payment you'll be required to make the minimum payment the following month. Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.
Hi. I did notice that and I would say that's another nice little perk of being in with NFCU!!
NFCU allows you to skip the next payment if you pay more than 2x your minimum. I think the lowest breakpoint found so far for it was 2.2x.
It is a nice feature for people who need it but I question how useful it is when they don't offer it back to back even when you don't use it. Like I pay $50 a month towards my Platinum which only has a $20 minimum but it's always one month $0, one month $20. There is a 50% chance that if I needed to use it one month it wouldn't be available that month.
Well NFCU is my daily driver so I pay big payments if not PIF every month so.

I honestly just leave the BT on the Platinum and toss them less than a buck of interest each month to show some activity. It's only like $350 on there and I could pay that off any time but at 1.99%, meh.
I was wondering why my minimum payment due was 0 dollars this month.
So THAT's why every statement I've gotten says 0.00 due, when clearly I always have a 50 or less balance on the card🤔.
Ok NFCU, I 👀 you're clearly aiming for my #1 spot😂!
