NFCU Interest rate reduction 16.9->11.9

Gotta luv Navy Federal. Every year you're entitled to request an interest rate review, with no hard pull, just review of account history. Got my Cash Rewards card just over a year ago through product change from Flagship. Called in, boom, lowered 16.9% rate to 11.9% rate. And as usual the CSR was terrific.

What a pleasure they are to deal with.

Great interest rate reduction! Rate is even realistic instead of the 17.9+% lenders seem to think is fair? You could even afford to revolve a balance for a month without a mortgage Smiley Happy

Re: NFCU Interest rate reduction 16.9->11.9

But when does carrying a balance makes sense? I see the CD is around prolly 3% and CreditCard interest rates as low as 8% I have seen.

I dont get the point of carrying an interest in CC.

you are probably right on carrying interest, i think the point is, get APR's as low as Possible, (I do)

Because sometimes "Life Happens" and you do not always choose when & what it may throw at you!

Not everyone makes so much money where everything can be paid in full. Sometimes balances must be carried , the lower the apr the better for those of us who doSmiley Wink
