The same thing happened to me; wanted me to take proof of identity and address into the branch. I told the CSR who called me, "I better not do all of this and then not get approved" and her response was, "If they are asking for all of this info, they are more than likely wanting to approve you." Which, they did. Sucks you had to drive two hours though...

The crazy thing; I got back with them recently and was approved after one day on each my nRewards secured and Cash rewards unsecured. My EQ was 594 and TU was 595.. I was denied navChek because of "Bankruptcy too recent, not enough credit experience".. I will re apply in 2014!! Smiley Very Happy when should I ask for a increase? hehe

Update: I was approved! They gave me one of my lowest limits (500). Im a little bummed about that but at least im in? Will ask for an increase after 6 months, 500 dollars is very toyish though... But im in and cant complain. NFCU here i come, Good luck to everyone else going through the process.

That toy limit will grow in the next year! I went from 5k in credit with NFCU to over 42.5k in less than year. Its possible just keep a good relationship with them and you will be fine.

Your limit will grow...  My hubby started with a $2500 limit, now its at 12k... he got the card in June 2012
