Hey all! Has anyone here or know someone that has had a membership verification after the 30 days of joining Navy Federal? I've read a lot of horror stories of membership verification and accounts being closed/frozen but typically happens within the first 30 days of joining. I haven't had a membership verification yet and I'm kind of hesitant to apply for any of their products since its been less than 30 days. Although I do have all paperwork in hand. Just want to play it safe. I also did sponsor my brother and he applied for 3 things on the same day of becoming a member and never had mine or his account frozen. Any responses would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Re: NFCU

There has been a few on here whose accounts have been verified after 30 days.  I think you are overthinking it.  If you have all the paperwork and your brother has been successful with his accounts, you are good to go.

Re: NFCU

I've been a member for almost a year and haven't had to submit any verification info. I've had my pop's DD214 handy just in case, but since my daughter (active duty) and I have since opened a joint savings account, I guess it's no longer necessary. Just make certain to have your info ready if it's ever requested. As long as everything is legit on your end, I wouldn't worry about it and go ahead and apply for whatever credit account you'd like.

Keep both your credit and your body in top shape!
