Navy Federal CLI Timeline

When is a good time to ask for CLI on NFCU nRewards card?

I am thinking at 6 month mark.  Any advice?

Re: Navy Federal CLI Timeline

I have a cashRewards Visa that I opened in May 2009. Asked for a 4000 cli in October 2009  via luv button. It took abot 3 days to be approved, but only recieved 3000. No hard pull. Then in March 2010 ask for another, approved for 2500. It took about another 3 days for it to post. No hard pull. Total cl of 13500. Been with NFCU for 8 years. YMMV.

Re: Navy Federal CLI Timeline

I think they meant March...

We have had NRewards VISA for about 6 months - started at 2500 (I LOVE their rewards card), asked for a 1k increase yesterday and received it.

I absolutely love NFCU.

Re: Navy Federal CLI Timeline

I love NFCU.  I have both the NRewards Visa and Cash Rewards Visa.  I opened them about a year ago about 4 months apart from eachother. NRewards started me out with 2000.  I asked for a 5000 CLI seven months later and was approved.  I have yet to ask for an increase on the Cash Rewards for which they started me out with 4500.

I say go for it and ask for the CLI.  They are usually pretty friendly.  I think I may ask for a 2500 increase on the Cash Rewards tonight.

Re: Navy Federal CLI Timeline

Is the NFCU CLI request a hard pull?

Did you request cli or were they automatic? How long ago was it that you received these CLIs? How long have you had your card?

THanks
