I applied for a Navy Federal nRewards visa, and i'm wondering if there is a chance I may get it. My scores are currently TU: 656 EQ:619 and EX:708(i'm not sure how correct this experian score is). Does anyone know if there is a baseline credit score you must have to get appoved for a credit card with NFCU? Im trying to rebuild my credit but the credit cards that I have are low CL. Im trying to get a card with a high credit limit to help my rebuilding status.
You should get the card, I applied and got three cards in one week with a score of EQ 652....Navy federal is really good at working with you.
Unless NFCU has recently changed their policy, they pull ONLY EQ. I have had my Flagship VISA and nRewards MC now for 3 years and EQ is the only report they have ever pulled. This goes for theei NAVCHECk as well
Good luck.
I'd say your chances are good. They usually approve anyone with a score above 600 and give them a ridiculously high credit limit to boot.
Thanks, I hope I get the card. Does anyone know what there credit score was when they were approved for their navy federal credit card? I'm worried that my EQ score of 619 is too low.
650 and approved for $7k
you might get a lower limit, I'd say $2.5k
How lenient are they with older collections or "baddies" in CR?
3 years ago I had a 618 when I was approved for a $3k nRewards, I had multiple med collections and 2 COs
last week I was approved for a CLI to $5k at 643 EQ
I just app'd for a CashRewards so I can BT my CapOne card, so no word yet.
I think the items they have for the nRewards really aren't all that, so I would see if you could switch over to the CashRewards one
After my application it says they can take up to 3 to 5 days to review your application, I just applied yesterday so I guess I should know by the end of next week. I did check to see which report they pulled, and they pulled EQ which just so happen to be my lowest, which is a 619.
Do you have to be a member or militay serviceman to get credit card?
