I called Saturday to lower my apr on both my CC's. My flagship was at 17.99% Lowered to 10.99% heck yes!! And my American express was 14.95% lowered to 10.65% yes thank you NFCU. So then feeling good i called discover and low and behold got that one lowered too. Went from 24.99% to 19.99%! happy dance thanks to all the great advice on this forum.
Congrats!
I didn't know Discover would consider lowering your APR if requested. I'm gonna have to remember that for when my intro APR period is up.
@devilnic Congrats on your sweet new APRs! Could you please share some DPs with us, such as age of accounts and anything else pertinent that could assist us when requesting reductions?
Navy federal you can ask every 12 months for an apr reduction. So after your first 12 months of having a card you can ask. My scores are 813 Equifax 797 trans and 810 Experian . Both my NFCU accounts 1 is 7 years old and the other is 5 years old. My discover is 6 years old. Again discover you can ask every 12 month too. *Bonus you can also ask discover for 0% for 12 month too if you tell them you are doing dental work or something big and you are in good standing. After that stops you can wait 6 months and ask again.

Oh nice. Yep, this calls for doing the happy dance. And thanks for the tip. I'll be calling NFCU later today.
One small thing though--did you ask Disco if you had a 12-month offer on purchases at 0%. Several of us asked and got that last month.
@CreditInspiredI did ask for 0% and got that also. It's been a good month!
Congrats!
Wow, it has been a good month. Kudos to you!
That's great that you are able to see big things in such small matter--do you even have a significant debt on those accounts for the average person to even care?
