Need Freedom CLI

Hey All,

I have chase freedom which has a low line of credit at $1000.

I have Chase United Explorer card with a line of credit at $5000

I have Chase Auto Loan with good standing, $10k to pay within next 3 years.

I would really love a CLI on my freedom card. Any suggestion?

Thanks!

Re: Need Freedom CLI

Chase HP's for CLI's. it's rare but not unheard of getting an auto CLI. How long have you had your freedom?

09Lexis: it has been just 3 months since I've had the freedom. I have been paying in full before the statement cuts.

Re: Need Freedom CLI

My Freedom was opened a year ago.  $2500 limit.  6 mos received CLI to $3000, then at 9 mos to $3700.  In order to go higher I had to take a HP this AM to $10k.

Re: Need Freedom CLI

If you really need a CLI, just ask for one. It's going to be a HP.

sccredit: i did see that...congrats on the huge CLI. You have a checking a/c with them as well and that may have played a role there. 10k is an awesome limit with a widely known lender like chase.

you think i should wait at least 3 more months to anticipate an automatic CLI?

Re: Need Freedom CLI

To clarify I do not have a checking account with Chase.

You can call and ask but it will be a HP.  They may tell you that they want to see you have more time with the $5k limit before they'll jump Freedom though.

Re: Need Freedom CLI

Chase does emphasize quite a bit on usage, so if you haven't been using the card, the chances of you getting a significant, or any CLI at all, is going to be slimmer.

Is there a reason why you are not using the cards? Since you have the card for only 3 months and have been barely using it, I wouldn't recommend you waste the inquiry for now.

Re: Need Freedom CLI

To clarify: I haven't Shock DrawerED it yet. But the fact that it is at 1k may draw a shocking attentions from other lenders...sorry I think I made you all misinterpret with SD.

I've been using the freedom regularly, a whole lot actually for the 5% off on gas.
