The above got my attention...
I got approved for my IHG back in September and Amazon in January, and so far no problems. However, just last week when I logged into Chase online I was prompted to verify my address and phone number... the thing is, they were listing my phone number from 10 years ago when I had a Providian account that was charged off. They were listing my correct address, but no mailing address (which is weird, since I get paper statements each month).
I tried to update the info with my current address and phone (both of which they already have) but the website kept glitching out (for some reason, the Chase site just doesn't like my computer, or perhaps it's Firefox). I eventually got it to 'take', and it said that a message had been sent to have my profile updated (or something to that effect... but it definitely mentioned a 'message').
I found the whole thing really odd, but so far there's no problem with my cards working (at least Amazon; I've not had a reason to try the IHG, although online it looks fine). Hopefully that "update" isn't a sign of problems to come. <fingers crossed>
I appreciate everyones help, thank you.
I had a letter waiting in the mail from chase friday after work.
It read
" We're writing to confirm information about you credit card for your security. Please call us immediately at 1-800-686-5657.
We're available anytime.
If we've already spoken about your account, you don't need to do anything else"
Sincerely,
Fraud Operations.
I was a bit excited, could this be the correspondence I had been asked to wait for?! Never received any call backs so It had to be. I phone in around 2:00 am, state reason for my call and begin reading off from this short letter. I am asked If i could confirm a OTP, NP, easy right?! WRONG. I tell her the # I have used since day one (4/04/17) She says that number is not accepted and asks for other numbers? WELL Strangeee, I 've used the same one only last week, AT least minimum of 5 times in my back and forth calls, they send and I confirmed successfully!! BS, I tell her lady how can it not be accepted its my phone number, never had this problem. How is it suddenly, out of no where, not accepted. She goes I understand your problem however we can use questions from you financial profile and Public Rec Qs. I am asked total of 5 questions first 2 didn't have any choices still they didn't even pertain to me. the next 3 were my Father's birth month, My DOB and My age, I answer correctly, Am Put on hold, as she returns, i hear the words, "thank you for holding however am unable to access your account looks like its under review and with that I don't have any information." I attempt a little explanation and she says "but don't worry I will put a note asking to "fast" your request and I will write down that you have a letter from us as well"
Back to square one.
A CSR last week mentioned still having my online account access as a good sign as most people with online access terminated get card accounts closed as well.
Does anyone know if ANYBODY from Chase reads to access' these forums?
Could this thread be used as leverage or something like what would happen if I mentioned this thread and similar to a senior csr chase
Try calling 855-896-2222 see if they'll help.

JPM is a huge corperation employing more than 250K people, it seems extrememly likely that somebody among them might have read these forums or even frequent this board.
But it also seems extrememly unlikely for such behaviors to influence their decisions on dealings with an individual customer.
Maybe a twitter or Facebook complaining "thread" can be used more to your advantage if that's your plan.
btw. I have felt that as a general rule (not just JPM) CSRs working during weekends/off time are either less trained or with less resources. Pushing them usually does little good but could result in unexpected damages. I'd enjoy the rest of the weekend without bother with this matter and on Monday morning talk to someone who only works during normal busniess hours.
btw2. I think CreditPlz faced a shutdown but is back in the game after a few months, so don't worry too much, good luck!
You would think calling upon receipt of a letter they themselves sent, would help but guess that dont matter. It is weird though, the letter is pretty vague, not a reference number or anything. I, Myself, have even offered to send documentation if it'd help.
DITTO. My online access has been without hitch since the 17th, i can see recent activity, balance and remaining available credit $16,523.
Sorry for misspellings, and all the jumping creating several replies guys.
How ever this all updates, I'll let ya'll know
Thanks for the advice.
hah no I don't have a plan besides waiting for that mystery call back lol.
Man i realize I've had a long history with chase beginning 2001, as they were one of my first creditors. NEVER even had a late payment with em.
This is my highest limit thus far, 17k. previous were 11.3k 2001, 12k in 2002, and 4k in 2006
Yes i have done that just now and so far everything good. Idk if they're trying to trick me or what. Good advice thanks bruv
