Dear MyFico gurus,
I am looking for a couple of new cards for DW and thinking of improving our cash-back machine. Currently we use Amex BCP for groceries (6%), BOA for gas (3%), my Chase Freedom for rotating categories (5%), and Quicksilver for anything else (1.5%).
I was thinking of more cards with rotating categories, perhaps a Discover It and Citi Dividend.
She is AU on a couple of my cards:
- Amex BCP (CL 20K; opened 08/2011)
- CapOne QuickSilver MC (CL 4.2K; opened 08/2008)
Her own cards are:
- BOA VISA Cash Rewards (CL 5K; opened 12/2011)
- CapOne QuickSilver MC (CL 2K; opened 03/2009)
2 inquiries from 2012, no baddies, personal income around 30K.
Will get FICO scores as soon as a couple of payment register, but FAKO CapOne is 758. (I assume Fico would be anywhere around 730-750).
Any suggestions for cards that would give her cash back and decend CL? Thanks!!
Discover would be a good start. She might not get the highest of limits to begin with if she doesnt have any history besides an AU, however the AU would show she has an AAOA.

Thank you! Sorry I was a bit confusing--the BOA and the Cap 1 with the 2K limit are her own, so she does have her own 4-year history.
You could go for the Sallie Mae MC to bump up to 5% gas cashback year round.

+1 SallieMae. Also US Bank Cash+ for their categories if they fill gaps.
Thank you, this is very useful. When I did my research years ago Sallie Mae was not there, but I see why it's getting so much press in the forum. Not sure about Cash +, need to check if there are branches of the bank around me. (The site won't take apps online).

Couple people here have been able to apply over the phone, so you might want to look into that if you don't have a branch nearby. I have no clue what scores are in the approval range though.

Also consider:
Fidelity Amex, for 2% cash back on everything.
Huntington Voice, 3% selectable category. If in their area
Bank of America Better Balance Rewards. If your spend averages $166.66/month on this card, you're earning 5% cash back. Spend less? Then cash back percentage is even higher...
Then you can work on getting a second Cash+, Sallie Mae, and BOA BBR card after 6 months or so...
