Didn't want to start a new thread to talk about the Delta AMEX benefits, but I was recently approved and used the card this past week, traveling with family to California. You are bumped up to Zone 2 AND all 8 of my family members got to check (1) bag for free, AND they were not on my reservation. They received the free (1) checked bag to and from California. I thought that was cool considering if you read the fine print, it says checked bags waived if they are on your existing reservation and I used my AMEX platinum to book my flight, not the Delta AMEX.
Just thought I'd share the perk for anyone interested in getting the card.
