Re: New FNBO Limited-Time Offer Card?

Not sure if anyone has a DEFINITIVE answer on AMEX back dating? But  say back dating still worked the same way that it did. Would a "Partner" card like this also be back dated to your original membership date? Or would a new "Member Since" date be established?

I got my first AMEX back in 1998, and have had two other cards back dated since. And I have a FNBO MC allready. This seems like a great offer from my perspective, but want to ensure that any new cards help my score rather than just my ego.

Re: New FNBO Limited-Time Offer Card?

Just got my answer...declined with 810 FICO, 3 inq, and over 100k income with well over that in investment accounts...I do have 3 new cards in the last 2 months so maybe that's what scared them off, who knows

Wow, really sorry to hear about the decline there brclark Smiley Sad  I don't understand at all why in the world they'd deny you; you seem to have a super-stellar, outstanding score and minimal inquries?

J/w, is it possible maybe that FNBO has somehow tightened their underwriting and lending criteria, after they limited the ability to apply for the card to certain states?  Smiley Sad  When I applied and was approved on 4/4 before the new geographical limitations for apps, I had over $130k in total HHI, over $50k in investment income, and 4 other new cards received within the past 6 months, but also with 65% total revolving utilization -- so perhaps maybe they have tightened the underwriting requirements; just a possible guess?

It is really sad when someone who has a credit profile as excellent and top-notch as yours is declined, IMO...people with 800+ credit scores definitely deserve to be treated better, by the card issuers when they apply!

Re: New FNBO Limited-Time Offer Card?

That makes two high end applicants declined. Who wants to GP this and see if we get a trend?

J/c, have you hopefully had any luck with your mother's recon request there Nixon?  I truly and genuinely hope that they will approve her on recon...someone with her first-rate credit rating definitely deserves it!)  Anyway, good luck & best wishes on the recon, again really hope that your mom has the card coming to her mailbox, very soon!  Smiley Happy

Re: New FNBO Limited-Time Offer Card?

Maybe now that they added the state requirement they are hand picking applicants who might actually use their bank for other products. Even though I live in IL which means I could apply from what I could tell there is only one physical location in the state and its 3 hrs from me.

Re: New FNBO Limited-Time Offer Card?

I'd love to apply for this but noooo way are they approving me with a EX or EQ pull. This bank is to conservative for my inquiries.

Maybe you should try for a Citi Prestige. From what I hear they are lax on inquiries right now.
