It's still a lower APR than Gary Coleman's CashCall. Smiley Happy

It's better than it was. Before, customers were clobbered with fees before they even charged anything.

It means First Premiere will need significantly more customers to make the same profit as before.

Finally, the current 3.5 million FP cardholders should be trying to obtain secured cards from less predatory issuers ...

Wow…this is getting a little out of hand. Can't wait for the 1000% cards to hit the market. How about if you charge $100 you owe them your first born?

Apparently, full disclosure of this remarkable APR has not deterred interest in the card.

Customer interest in 79.9% credit card is 'phenomenal'

Re: New Low - Credit Card with a 79.9% APR YES 79.9%

Absolutely.  For the poor souls whose credit has been wrecked by theirs and others misdeeds, it maybe the only thing to rebuild their credit portfolio.  It would certainly curtail your spending and force you to pay off before next billing cycle.  Abeit some of the talking heads now advocate cash-only transactions and get rid of credit cards altogther.

Yep, we are coming full circle; I remember 30 years ago cash was the perfered tender, checks were rarely used, and CCs were only had by the very well-to-do, or at least where I grew up that is.
