New Nordstrom Black card~Icon status😳

As a high spender at nordstrom I decided to call them and ask... To get upgraded to the Icon Visa Signature card you must spend $15,000 per year on the card inside nordstrom. Rather annoying as I have spent almost 2x that outside of nordstrom this year.

Really pizza1 ... "status symbols"? Since we virtually don't share our credit cards with anyone any more, I assume there must be other benefits ... ?

Picked up mail and a nordstroms box was waiting for me. Thought my better half picked me up something. Instead it was 2 black cards. Ribbons and bows but no explanation. Whats the benefit besides just shopping. I think we spend about 15k a year? But I also buy for my daughters and my grandbabies as my oldest is a single mom... been there myself.
Maybe I should just add my daughter and have her get her own black card?

I've spent 22k on my Nordstrom card, I bet it's something like 20k.  I received the card last month in a tiny black box.
