Newbie To Forum and Need Credit Advice

Thank you very much, lots of great info!  I apped. for the Southwest Airlines Visa tonight through Chase.  If that doesn't get approved, then I'm going to inquire through my credit union were I have a Checking and Savings account.  Discover More Card is certainly another option that I might explore.

I think at this time, I just need to get a few more reporting TL's, since my current profile is thin.

I was denied via Chase for the following reasons:

Credit report shows total credit available on account is too low

Too Few accounts on file for a sufficient amount of time

Too many credit requests were made for new credit

Any ideas on what to do from here?  Should I apply for credit anywhere else or fund a secured CU CC in a month or so?
