I received the new bill. My chase freedom has no bonus rewards categories listed on the bill. The only categories include regular rewards, ultimate rewards travel bonus, and ultimate rewards bonus point mall bonus...what happened to the rotating categories?
Anyone notice something similar...or different for that matter, on their july bill?
I hope not. I ran quite a bit of money through my Freedom card this statement.
Had you previously seen anything about the change in terms Pj?

I just called Chase and spoke to an account specialist about this.
I was informed that the July-September Ultimate Rewards categories are "Fine Dining and Travel." I was told that the October-December categories will fall under "Holiday Shopping," which includes bookstores, electronic stores and discount stores (even Walmart, Target and Kmart) .
The folks at Chase are very sly foxes. They are in the process of hoodwinking folks out of legitimate rewards. If you trust them then I have some good Florida swampland you can bulid a house on.
I have tried many times over several months to get a straight answer from them regarding the so called "rewards program". What I have received by phone and by email and by message has been total nonsense and worthless. Information from Chase would confuse Einstein. This company is the master of misinformation and deception. Below is an example of but one stupid message from Chase. They do not know what they are doing.
Dear (Gomer), not my real name
Chase customer service reps are always a lot of fun!
I made 2 phone calls to Chase this morning: The first rep told me that the Ultimate Rewards program doesn't offer any 3% rotating categories, and I'd have to apply for another Freedom card! Knowing he was totally mistaken, I immediately called back, hoping to speak to a knowledgeable rep. The second rep told me that information was incorrect, and connected me to an account specialist.
I think Chase has too many Freedom programs going on so nobody has a clue
I have a regular Chase Freedom that still gets the top 3 for 3% (how long that will last is anyones guess)
I also have the Chase Exclusives Freedom which gets 1% , 10% bonus and additonal 10 points per purchase.
This works out pretty well for me since I always have the same top 3 every month and put everything else on the 10/10 card.
