Seems like FNBO wants action sooner than later. Received colorful form letter yesterday saying it has been over three months since I last used my card, and to use it soon if I want to keep it active. Have had the card for a few years and usually would throw a charge on it every once in a while (every 6 months) and never heard a peep. Not sure if this is something new or maybe since my credit increase to 10K+ recently, it changed something in their notices. I will try to post a pic.
I also rarely use my FNBO card as it has no rewards, but a low interest rate. It usually only sees action once a year on a BT. I did however just a week ago get a CLI to $10,000 + and perhaps now they expect to see a little more gratitude expressed in use. Thank you for tthe information.
I would let the card lapse. It’s not a particularly good card.

I don't disagree, but it definitely seems we are seeing more lenders cracking down on sockdrawering in general. It totally makes sense - why extend you the credit if you won't use it - but it's adjustment for those who generally SD certain cards.
My view is similar to yours though, if the card serves no purpose or benefit just let it go and move on.
Benzman appreciate the "heads up" as I have a FNBO Card. Did not know they would watch the utilization that closely. As others said, we have to decide is it of use or not? A few years back I closed two FNBO Cards (FNBO Bucks Back Visa and an FNBO Discover) as the rewards were not competitive and I did not want to deal with limping along with them. FNBO treated me well with CLIs so it can be a definite decision point.

Lol, Gmood style of lender love
Until i close any cards, im just placing a charge on each card every 4 months. Heck pick a day , do some small internet shopping one day and pay the charges as they post. Lol i just did this to kick off Jan. April repeat and rinse
Yes sir!
I was going to close one of them, but decided to leave both personal lines open. They've locked folks out of my area from all of their CCs.
I'll continue to keep them alive for now. It must have something to do with their local bank contracts. Where they supply the cards and service for those smaller banks? I don't know.
At one time I could see all of the CC's they offered personal and business. Luckly I grabbed mine before the lock out.
