You have to have a very good CR profile to qualify for their Visa Signature. They are inquiry sensitive, so if you've had a rash of recent apps or new accounts, this will not work. Scores need to be north of 700.
for equifax, i think i have like 770.
i m waiting for one of my inquriy to fade out on sept 9, and then i will have 3 inquiries left within 1 yr periof of time.
does that sound good?
Give it a try and see if that woks (in general, any inqs within a 6-12 month period would not be favorable). However, as far as approval, only Nordstrom Credit services can make that decision. Best of luck.
so u mean i shouldnt even have 1 inquires in the past 12 months?
They have been known to be inquiry sensitive. Howver, other folks have reported being declined for 1 inquiry while others for 3. Keep in mind, as with anything, YEMV. There is no exact method to determine until you apply since everyone's results will vary.
Make sure you have no HPs within the last 60 days. Beyond 60 days, the less the better. I was initially declined with an 800+ credit score because I had 3 recent HPs . Relevent thread: http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/Nordstrom-Recon-Experience/m-p/2243649#M628350
so it seem the inquiries are far more important the score itself (i have around 760).
i did have a inquires on aug 18 2013, and then one on may 21 2013, then one on sept 19 2012.
Not necessarily. It's just that HPs can be a dealbreaker. You need to have a great score as well.
