Not a bad trade off $95 for 150k Hilton upgrade

I couldn’t pass it up, 150k for 3k spend for Surpass (Asend).....

Not bad 225k SUB with one card app and a upgrade for $95.

Well I figure 10 - 15 stays with 5 additional points on stays is my break-even point.

Thanks.  What was your Aspire bonus?  I’m was thinking of doing the same if I get an offer, even though the resort fee is being diluted.

Re: Not a bad trade off $95 for 150k Hilton upgrade

I product changed from Hilton no fee to Aspire towards the end of 2018.

Decided intermediate Ascend upgrade did not make sense for me because too much overlap with Amex Platinum.

I was offered no points to upgrade to Aspire but I did use the 2018 airline credit and my annual fee was pro-rated.

Yeah, I have no use for the card itself but well worth the 150k points and I'll see if there is an Aspire upgrade next year w/ a SUB though.  If not I'll PC back to the no AF card, but I would normally be ahead with the 5 extra points on my number of stays.

Re: 150k point Hilton upgrade offer

Congrats! Enjoy the points for that spend. Out of curiousity: have any of you found any retention offers for those of us already cardholders of the Aspire that come unsolicited? Or is this something you need to search out through a CSR?
