No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
Yep. It definitely makes sense that a bank would have an "internal score" on me. That was something I thought about.
I think I'll wait a little while. Thanks all.
I'll research my existing cards, instead, to see if I get travel rewards from them.
I have: Chase Freedom, $6,500 credit limit; Amazon Rewards: $5500 credit limit. Barclaycard, $8,800, reduced from $15,000 in 2010.
Yep. Definitely common-sensical.
Any new lender will have no memory and once your reports are clean with current low UTI, you should be able to write your own ticket. Geography may dictate if you can get in with an oddball or two that is popular around here if you want to go that route. PNC, BB&T, Huntington, BECU etc. I would think AMEX would like you.
Thanks!
I only got three words
"Join Navy Federal"
if you canof course

@donkort if you have the need for a new card, and it's not from an existing lender, I really think you're in a good shape to apply.
Do your research first, see which one would meet your needs the best and go for it.
You've accomplished a lot, no reason not to reward yourself
Thanks very much.
I hate this Vantage Score thing now LOL. I was at 635 last week. Now I'm at 802, for their Experian-based version---799 for their Equifax.
It's giving me false hopes......I wish my FICO was 802!
Nope. Can't join Navy Federal Credit Union.
My father was drafted for Korea, but he didn't go.
