If I am understanding correctly they pulled TU and EQ on your app?  If so, they have that right.  Or they pulled TU and then EQ on recon?  That's a little more borderline but chances of getting it deleted are not good.

That said, I've had a really really good experience with Chase EO so you have some success.

For the app they pulled Transunion

for the first and second recon they used the same Transunion pull from the app.

They pulled Experian for no reason so its unauthorized.

They might not have been satisfied with the TU file so they wanted to check another. It's not uncommon for that to happen. They considered your TU file borderline and tried to approve looking at a different bureau.

well the fact is Lending Services denied pulling Experian, so if they thought i was borderline and pulled Experian they should just tell me instead of lie to me like that. So they need to be held accountable and fix it.

I understand where your coming from. Hopefully they remove it, but you do have to understand in the future that CSR's all around no matter who the creditor is are not always informed and accurate. Chase is within their rights to pull those reports.

They have to tell me when i ask instead of lie otherwise its a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Thus going back to uninformed CSR's. When you ask for a reconsideration your asking them to review your file. Like navigate said, they can pull another file if they choose to do so. They may remove it as a courtesy for their uninformed CSR but the FCRA isn't going to make them remove it, they are within their right to pull it. I would remain polite about it talking to him and you may have some success.

Good luck!

They hard pulled me THREE times, which was unauthorized.

Isn't Citi the one notorious for pulling all three when you app? Especially borderline approvals? I doubt they delete them.

Citi is 50% of my inquiries.

They seem to pull the second you ask to speak to a represenative haha.

I had my computer freeze 2 during a CLI, and ended up somehow with 3 HPs on experian.

Citi is in the drawer for me until further notice.

Maybe the CSR was misinformed or didn't fully understand your question?  The rep could also confuse hard and soft pulls.  I'm not sure if they "lied" to you with "willful" intent to deceive, since everyone unwittingly gives erreneous information all the time.

Nonetheless, good luck!  This might be a tough one to get removed.

GL but IMO you don't have a chance for deletion. You authorized the pulls by applying, and about 2 months ago when I appiled for chase they pulled TU and Exp when in past they only pulled TU.

Re: Not giving up! Filed a Dispute with Chase EO this time

So I called up Chase Executive Office again to check the status on my reguest to have the inquary removed on my experian report.

I very nice guy answered the phone and i explained everything to him again and he took my name and social and placed me on hold while he talked to someone in the "Credit Bureau Department"

About 10 minutes went by and then he came back on the line and said that how the letters that say they pulled Transunion that one was the one they based their decision on and that they sometimes pull other bureaus, and i told him that they should consider letting people know they pulled more than one and i said how i should have been told this the first time when i called Lending Services to question this since they had no idea what i was talking about.

He also mentioned that their Credit Bureau department is a rather new department and are well versed on inquaries. He appologized to me a few times during our conversation and they are not able to remove the inquary. Smiley Indifferent

Oh well, All of this was a great experience for me as i have learned the hard way and didn't just give up i kept trying but in the end everything ran its course.

I'm just kicking back and relaxing in the garden and by 2015 all the inquaries will be gone and i should have some nice credit history by then. Smiley Very Happy

On 2 side notes:

1. Earlier this week i called the automated system for my Amazon Store card and got it raised from $1,200 to $1,800 (asked for $2,400, but i'll take it)

2. Today i got an offer in the mail from Merrick Bank offering a credit card with "No Hidden Fees" a $700 limit that will double after 7 statements of on time payments and a 27.5% APR....... A decent offer, but higher APR than all my other cards and i'm not looking to get any more credit at this time so thanks, but no thanks, it went in the shredder box.

Thanks everyone! Have a nice day! Smiley Very Happy

Re: Not giving up! Filed a Dispute with Chase EO this time

I have noticed that Chase's EO office is basically useless. All they do is reiterate the same thing the reps tell you and quote their stupid policies. Other EO offices actually make an attempt to make the customer happy.

Re: Not giving up! Filed a Dispute with Chase EO this time

Theirs a difference from a lender pulling all 3 when your borderline and just pulling one when your qualified. If your qualified and that is all the information they need to provide a yes or no, they may or may not pull another bureau to assess a risk level + a credit limit. They do not have to tell you that they will be pulling all 3, nor do they have to make a promise stating that they will not only pull from 1, I feel as if this is why we have forums and sites like this and others to research and see what everyone experience was like when they applied with a certain lender, for a certain card, and what happened during their experience. Did they pull once, did they pull all 3, what type of limit did they give etc. Because when you go in blind/ don't ask the right precise questions this is what happens. It happened to me when I applied to AMEX when I was young and dumb, and thought I was hot stuff with a mid-high 600 score and a thin file thinking I would get a approved. I got denied, and got stuck with 3 hard pulls and that's when right after I discovered myfico and started to learn what you must do to avoid this. ***Research***, don't be afraid to ask questions, and check on things you are unsure about. Chase had every right to pull from your TU twice, and your EX again after you recon'd since you were asking them to re-review your chance for approval, and they didn't have to tell you because to me you didn't ask. Yeah it sucks and I am not on their side, but in all honesty this was your mistake/your fault. From this I hope you learned that myfico wants your best interest when your ready to apply for your card, check and see if your eligible, then check on here or other forums and try to compare yourself with other people, and ask questions and see who applied for the card, who got approved, who got denied, and why they got approved and why they got denied, and check to see what the lender pulled from in your country/state and region socal - norcal etc, and make sure you have all this information + the minimum requirements going into the app and before you app you can even ask what lenders pull, some will be edited and say well we pull from all 3 if we have to, and we just never know which one we might pull from (hence amex) and some might flat out tell you we pull only from ex (chase depending on your area you live in) or we pull only from eq (DCU) but you must ask before you do things not just think everything will be told to you. Wish the best for your credit future though, and hope you can get approved later when you come out the garden!

Bottomline: This is the lesson I learned that day AMEX denied me and I had 3 hard pulls across all 3 credit bureau's and when I called to recon 3-4 times amex was assholes and said sorry we can't your credit file is too thin, you don't have enough credit etc. -I learned from this experience that they were actually right, and I'm glad they denied because of the lesson I learned.

But goodluck -LJ
