BTW. I called them and asked if I could change to a different card and they said no. They suggested that I apply for a new card, which I have no interest of doing (with Barclay anyway.)
Call and ask for an APR reduction, they will transfer you and ask that person. I think this may be the retention department. They usually see more than the front line CSR.
Sorry, OP, that sucks. Last summer we used my hubby's Arrival all over German speaking Europe and experienced no issues, other than a few merchants not taking credit cards.
