I just got approved for nfcu visa cc for $6000! So excited and was not thinking, apply again for a MasterCard. But this time instead of getting instant approval I got a message saying decision will be made in 3-5 days! I'm so bum that I made an irrational impulsive thing. And now there's 2 dings! I just pray NFCU don't take back the first approval for the visa card. They can't right? Hehe... And maybe will get approve for the MasterCard. Promise myself I will definitely start gardening! Thank you everyone!
wouldn't worry about it at all... you will probably get both.

Just call and find out and dont speculate, but sometimes credit unions only extend the max credit possible for new memebers. I dont think they will renig your first CC.
Like myself I pushed my lucked with PenFed. But as always YMMV so this might not be the case for you and they will approve you.
Good luck and keep us posted!
Two cards from the same company, one right after another...? I would hope they would give you a 3-5 message just for safety.

NFCU may use the same pull for both applications. You can always call them and request that they do.
Probably no big deal. If they do question you about it, just say you wanted coverage over both Visa and Mastercard's payment networks.
So whats the verdict you get the second card?
I did not get approve for the MasterCard. But at least I got the visa and start gardening!
