Yep I agree with -p. I wouldn't close your Orchard card as it is a stepping to a better product with Cap1 once the transition is complete. I asked for a CLI once with HSBC in 2009 and was denied. After that, I just waited for them to increase it themselves.
When did you get the Orchard card? It is odd that you received no increases whatsoever. I am wondering if you got it right before Cap1 took over HSBC. I am going to try to get my AF waived as well.
I opened the card Feb of this year, I believe the Cap One sale happened shortly after that. I am going to call in about the AF and go from there. I use it it for gas every once in awhile just to use it but never carry a balance.

That's why. My last increase was like the beginning of 2011. The card has been fixed at 1100 for almost two years. It isn't going up. I use it almost the same way as you and never carry a balance. I try to pay in full 10 days before the due date as it usually reports at the end of the month. We are supposed to receive our Cap1 replacement cards in the spring, I got an email about it a month ago.
I've seen every possible indication that this is going forward, including confirmation from the exec office. I have it parked for now - but it sees one charge per month from my Directv bill, so it stays active.
As soon as I get my new shiny Cap1 card to replace the Orchard, I'll probably ask for a PC. Since I have the green card already, I'll have to see what "Excellent" choices they offer. Any suggestions are welcome.
I have a Household card that I got in Feb 2012...still @ $300. I tried asking for a CLI a couple months ago but couldn't get very far because of "system maintenance".
My AF will be due soon and I'll certainly be hitting them up to see if they can waive it. I've never called to request anything like that...what do you normall say?
Do you think they would waive the AF on a Venture?
