Ouch - My AMEX Zync bill hurt this month

About 4/5ths of the charges are related to me fixing my house from storm damage, but damn this month's Zync bill hurt!  (At least its gives me a really high maximum balance.)  Statement cut on the 9th and I paid it today.  This should also help with internal limit and score.

Re: Ouch - My AMEX Zync bill hurt this month

I had that a few months ago when I had to buy new furniture for my appartment. I was mildly surprised when there was no problem swiping my AMEX for $4k at IKEA and was kinda expecting some horrible phone call and me having to split it across multiple cards.

But yeah I think it works out in the end. Now that I pushed $5.5k through my PRG in one month, when I app'd for the BCP they gave me a $7.6k CL when my only other CL was was only $3.3k. Thinking the $5.5k helped Smiley Tongue

PNC Points Visa $3.3k (5/09), Amex PRG NPSP (9/10), Amex BCP $19.7k (10/12), Chase Amazon $4.8k (10/12), Citi Forward $7.5k (11/12), Chase Southwest RR Premier $8k (3/13), Discover it $4.3k (11/13), Citi Double Cash $18k (PC'd 9/16 from AA Executive 7/15), Chase CSR $12.2k (9/16)

Re: Ouch - My AMEX Zync bill hurt this month

I hope so.  I go for my 3x CLI in a couple of weeks Smiley Happy  Next month will be another high month as I have another 4k in repair related items I have to charge.  I may them on new NFCU and let it report so I can setup high reported balance on that card.  4k/25k would still keep my UTIL in check.

Re: Ouch - My AMEX Zync bill hurt this month

LOL. My second Zync statement cut last Friday (paid yesterday). My December statement will be much higher than my last statement (of 1.1k) because I am going to start my Christmas holiday shopping soon (not to mention Thanksgiving is coming up). I think it makes since for Amex to determine your credit card limit based on your charge card usage (if you have one prior to applying for their revolvers ).

Citi Double Cash: $1,000
Capital One Secured: $500
Capital One Savor One: $1,650
Amex Gold- NPSL.
Amex Platinum- NPSL.
Amex Delta Gold: $1,000
Best Buy Store Credit Card: $2,000
Amazon Store Credit Card: $6,000
Verizon Visa Card: $2,000

Bj's Perks Elite Mastercard: $2,300

Merrick Credit Card: $1,400
First Savings Credit Card: $1,250

Re: Ouch - My AMEX Zync bill hurt this month

I will normally push 1k though card, at least that's what I've budgeted. The next couple months will be unusual charge amounts for me.
