Out of the Garden!

So after over a year in the garden I decided to step out and app for a couple of cards. I app'd and got approved for the Discover It and the Amex BCE. So pumped to have a non Cap1 card. Thank you to everyone on the forum for all of the good info and advice. It was only 18 months ago that all I had was a Cap1 platinum w a cl of $250, these latest 2 were my 4th &5th cards. Still waiting to find out my limits. But thanks to the forums I am guessing my total available credit has went from $250 to in the $5,000 range. Thanks again everyone, excited to be a part of the Discover and Amex families!

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: Out of the Garden!

Congrats!

What's the rest of your credit profile like? Any baddies, inquiries, etc....

I ask because I read of people with much shorter history getting approved with much bigger limits.

DCU Platinum: 4000 - Discover IT: 11000 - Walmart: 5000 - AMEX BCP: 18000 - Chase Freedom VS: 5000
