I had the same questions as i was approved for the BOA 123 by recon on Monday and wanted to switch to the Better Balance rewards card as well. After reading this post before bed, I woke up and decided to try my luck. I called and said I was just approved for the account on Monday. The specialist said my card was mailed as of yesterday and to see what she can do. After a hold of about 10 minutes she came back and said she can go ahead with a conversion. She then read to me a Visa to MasterCard disclosure and said my BBR card should arrive in 2-4 weeks, she also stated that when I get the BOA 123 card in the mail to use it until the BBR card arrives then to destroy it as it will have a new account number.
It did not cost me a HP at all, they didn't even mention my CR or CL. Furthermore, I'm guessing since i switched the account before I received the card in the mail they went ahead with the conversion. I'm not sure.
But I do have a question...Since I will be using the BOA123 card for 2 to 4 weeks does that mean I am still eligible to receive the $100 after $1000 spend? If so, that would be sweet!
