PIF prior to 3x 61 day attempt?

So AMEX experts...I am eligible for the 3x CLI tomorrow and wondering if I should pay off my balance this afternoon so it shows as a $0 balance, or not bother since my balance is still pretty low and I'm not even halfway through the billing cycle?  

The bill is not due until 5/23 and the statement closes 5/28.

My current balance is $209/2000CL.

The first two billing cycles, I have put >$1000 through the card each cycle and PIF each time (reported as $0 balance).

Thoughts?

I don't think you have to, I got a CLI at 61 days from 2k to 6k and was carrying alittle bit more than you, however if it makes you feel better, pay it

Yeah, I believe totally is not a huge factor at all.

It will make no difference IMO.  I was carrying a balance and was approved.

I think they will use a recent SP, so it most likely won't matter.

I will just leave the small balance there, and give it a shot tomorrow.
