Sorry this happened to you. Do you know anything that may have spooked them to do this? Util % high?
Yes can you please share the whole picture of what spooked them? Complete non use or very high balances of a few or several cc's? This isn't normal for PNC at all if you signature is somewhat accurate this makes little since if utilization is under cotrol and no negatives have came up on CRA's. I have close to a 30k card with them that I use and never a peep.
Per the AA letter:
• Limited Credit File
• Amount owed on PNC credit card obligation
• Amount of credit utilization
The first two are BS, since credit age is about 7 years for oldest account and PNC balance is under $10 per card, only used for small gas transactions. The last one has more bearing, since I do have a BT on my Wells AC of about 16K. However, this has been there for +/- 1yr since it will expire in November and I find it strange that it would trigger AA after being visibly paid down for so long. BT terms were 15 months. I did close an Amex Platinum Charge card approx. 1 month ago and have been acquiring biz credit for some time, perhaps INQ played an undisclosed part? Scores in low 700's FICO 8, no lates or derogs.

Inquiries could play a part, but the BT have you agreesively been paying down or just miimum type of payments as if just miimum type payments that could e the reason. Also do you use the PNC cards as well?
i would personally go into a local branch to do a recon. I would dispute thiss. Something in my opinion does not add up. If your spending habit on your PNC cards is consistent, then you would not add additional debt to your PNC Visas.
There could be an issue with the business cards you have acquired. Do you use your SSN or TIN for those cards?

@CreditCuriosity @Guyatthebeach I just got done looking thru my transaction history for the cards in question, and it looks like they've all seen some sub$10 charges within the last 9 months.
As far as the BT, 10% over minimum payment to start (cuz free money) with payments staying the same or higher. I checked utilization and it's been roughly the same or declining ever since the BT, depending on if I let some balances report.
I asked for a CLI on each around the beginning of August, all were declined.
For the business cards, EIN was used; all were Chase and BoA. Speaking of which, just today BoA handed out an additional 9.5K CLI on my TR, no issues there so I'm guessing near non-use? Will just let them sit till BT is paid and see if I can grow them again, maybe run some more charges thru to show use.

If you dont use them only for the above. Might have been why. Usage plays a role with some creditors.

Business cards they can't see.. Not sure what spooked them other than possibly 10% over minimum payment for a prolonged period of time. I understand free money, but some lenders might see it as struggling although not the case I usually pay 3-4x min payments on all cards I choose to carry a balance on personally. I suppose you will see what they letter says when they arrive being the adverse action letters. You still have plenty of credit and doesn't sound like you needed them badly although your scores will take a hit due to utilization going up on personal credit as sure you are aware.
