I'm just curious, but the new apartments I'm hoping to get approved to move into next month, are set up to take rent payments with a CC... All the majors. Wondering if its ok to do that, and if your CCC frowns upon it? I'd sure like to do it to get points faster every month! Thoughts?
Perfectly fine. No problems whatsoever
I've been paying my rent with cards since I first got them and no problem If your apartments accept cc payments I dont see why lenders would frown on this particular transaction. Where I live they only accept Discover/Visa/MC but the fee for using Visa is $19.95 which is outrageous so I use Discover or Sallie Mae.
If your landlords let you do it for free I'd be surprised.
My apartment complex used to take CC's... and charged me a $15 fee if I wanted to use it which pretty much negated the Rewards I was getting from my card when I charged my $1500 rent.
I've got better cards now but the complex now has new ownership and doesn't take CC's.

Thank you!! They do charge a small few, I believe it's between $7-12, can't remember, but worth the extra fee to do it? Was thinking it would help utilize one of my cc's better.
If it's only $7-12, then if you get 1.5% CB, You should be making $10-15/mo on your rent.
...and you could earn even MORE rewards by paying MY mortgage too.
